DALLAS (May 9, 2013) — Butler Burgher Group (BBG) is pleased to announce the addition of esteemed industry veteran Bruce A. Kellogg. He has assumed a key leadership role in a move to enhance the firm’s reputation as an emerging frontrunner with continued high-growth potential in commercial real estate appraisal and valuation.
BBG in the past five years has grown to national stature with 18 offices and satellite offices under the direction of CEO Diane Butler. Kellogg joins her team as Executive Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives, bringing 41 years of commercial real property experience, including six as a national quality control director. His experience encompasses nearly every type of commercial real estate project in the U.S. and abroad. He also brings industry relations, business development and research experience to round out his real property expertise.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bruce to our team,” Butler says. “Given his reputation and track record, he could have gone anywhere, but he chose BBG — and we see that as a huge vote of confidence in our leadership and growth potential.”

Kellogg says he respects what Butler and the company have achieved so far and is “excited to have an opportunity to help such a promising company achieve its potential.”

Before joining BBG, Kellogg served as vice president of industry relations at ARGUS Software, designed to optimize operational and financial performance across real estate portfolios. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2006, he served as managing director at Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation Services, where he oversaw quality control procedures and represented the group from 2003 to 2007 as a national officer of the Appraisal Institute, serving as president in 2005. He has gone on to serve in other industry leadership roles including board chairman of OSCRE Americas, the real estate electronic data standards body (2008-09), board chairman of OSCRE International (2012-13), and vice-chair of the valuation council of RICS Americas (2012-13) and secretary of the Industry Advisory Council of The Appraisal Foundation (2013).(
Prior to his service at Cushman & Wakefield, Kellogg worked for CBRE; Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co.; Bankers Trust Co.; Miller & Kafes Associates; and Seamen’s Bank for Savings.
Kellogg holds the MAI designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute and the FRICS designation of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
